Modular construction, East Sussex

Modular buildings, made off-site and craned into place.

Home extensions, event pavilions, garden pools and private underground builds. Each one designed for its site, built in our facility, and installed with days of disruption, not months.

Built differently

Precision in the workshop. Calm on your site.

Every BLOXX project is designed with precision, built off-site to a high standard, and delivered with as little disruption as possible.

That holds whether you are extending your home, making your mark at a major event, adding a pool for the summer or planning for the unthinkable. One method, four divisions, each drawn for the client and the site.

The BLOXX difference

Three things a traditional build cannot match.

The same principles run through every division, from a garden pool to an underground commission.

  • Off-site precision

Every BLOXX structure is engineered and built in our facility before it reaches site. Tighter tolerances, faster installation, and a finish that is hard to match on an open site.

  • Minimal disruption

Crane delivery means your home, garden or event site is disrupted for days, not months. We arrive, we install, we leave.

  • Designed around you

No off-the-shelf solutions. Every project, from a home extension to an underground build, is drawn for the client, the site and the brief.

How a project runs

From first conversation to handover.

Factory build and site preparation run side by side, so the disruptive part is short. Exact steps vary by division.

Why off-site

Days on site, not months.

On a traditional build every trade waits for the one before it, and the weather gets a vote. With BLOXX the building is made in the workshop while the groundworks happen on site, so it is craned straight on to them.

What is modular construction?

Planning permission depends on your site.

Some BLOXX projects can go ahead under permitted development. Others need a full application. It turns on size, height, distance from boundaries, the type of property, and whether it is listed or in a Conservation Area, National Park or other designated area. Building Regulations still apply to a substantial extension, and an underground build will almost always need planning permission.

We will talk you through the position for your site. Your local planning authority has the final word.

    BLOXX Home Kent

A kitchen that opens to the garden

A semi-detached house with a narrow side return and no room for a digger. The owners wanted a bigger kitchen without a summer of builders, so the extension was made in the workshop and lifted over the house.

    BLOXX Home Surrey

A glazed living room at the back of the house

A family needed a second living space facing the lawn. Glazing, dark cladding and the line of the roof were drawn to sit quietly beside the original house.

    BLOXX Pool East Sussex

A pool and ice bath for a summer of training

A keen triathlete wanted to train and recover at home for a season. The dual configuration gave a heated pool and a cold ice bath in one unit, set on the existing lawn.

Client words

In their words.

  • The digger never came near the house. Two days of crane work and we had the kitchen we wanted, opening straight onto the garden.

    Home extension client, Kent

  • We planned the whole stand around the roof terrace and it was where everyone wanted to be. Striking it afterwards took a fraction of the time we had allowed.

    Event organiser, West Sussex

  • The survey settled the access question in an afternoon. When the hire ended the unit went back over the hedge and the lawn looked as it did before.
